Colouring Books and Rainy Days.

Got my brew and I'm ready to go...
Just a simple  brew to start today off.

Rainy Day

Poppycat is visiting, she's currently sitting in watching the rain come down but by the doors getting some of the cool air too.

I've known Poppycat for almost a year she saw me sitting outside my house, she came over and started rubbing herself against my leg and purring to introduce herself.
Since then she's been a very good friend coming to visit, I even invest in some cat bics for her when I do my food shopping each month.

Colouring Books

My present collection of colouring books, Most of them were gifts for last Xmas off my parents or my Birthday.
I've got a few going at once but I've cut down to doing one at once and 2 pages a day 3 at the most.

I'm currently working on Sacred Nature by Lydia Hess

I've always enjoyed them as I've always liked the pretty pictures inside. When I was a kid they were a bit of fun and a nice alternative to toys.
Now for me colouring books are a good way of not just being mindful or relaxing but something to do if I'm house bound and I'm struggling of things I could do. They are a life saver.
As an art student sometimes I do get bored of doing Uni work all the time so sometimes I take a few hours out of doing Contextual Research , Technical File and Sketchbook work and sit with a colouring book, some chill out music over youtube and plenty of coloured pencils.
For the past couple of years now whenever birthday and Xmas does come up I've been asking for colouring books.

There's a famous shop here in the UK called The Works it sells anything from stationery to books and it also sells colouring books. Sometimes I go in whenever I'm in town to see if there's any new ones in but I have to hold myself back from buying anymore, they are at affordable prices too from £2 up to £6.

If you have a busy life dear reader then you need to slow down the pace and have you time. Get yourself some coloured pencils and a colouring book and escape that crazy busy head for an hour or two. you'll feel more relaxed and at ease. For example : IF you work in a busy office take one to work with you and whilst on your lunch break sit back and do a little colouring.
